This is a 5 day yoga beginners course, an hour each day, aimed at getting you familiar with some common yoga poses and practices.
The regular practice of yoga not only improves strength and flexibility, it also builds mindful awareness, a winning combination that makes you feel great!
We will start off with the breath - a deep full breath lowers blood pressure, calms the nervous system and feels good (think about a sign of relief). We will then look at the alignment of the feet, hips, shoulders and spine, how to engage muscles to protect your body alongside a few tricks for relaxation and meditation.
There will be lots of repetition, and an incremental increase in physical demand throughout the week, leaving you well stretched and more confident to join other live-streamed yoga classes online.
