Join Hannah and Siobhan as you go deeper and explore the Koshas.
The word kosha in Sanskrit means sheath and it is a covering of the self/soul according to yogic philosophy.
The koshas are often described like the layers of an onion and we are said to have to 5 layers that encompass the true self. The first layer is the food body - or our physical selves, then the breath body, the mind body, the wisdom body and then - at the centre, everyone’s favourite — the bliss body.
Hannah and Siobhan will take you through a practice that will help you connect to each kosha, explaining each one as they go. Starting with a strong asana practice to connect to our physical selves, next comes a breathing practice (pranayama) to tune into to the breath body (pranamaya kosha). As you move through all the layers, the practices will become more and more subtle, you will leave well and truly connected to your bliss body.
